Prince Harry has posted a mysterious video on Instagram of him meeting Ed Sheeran at his doorstep

The brief 20-second video shows the royal opening the door to Sheeran where the two exchange greetings.

The Duke of Sussex then shakes the ginger-harried musician’s hand before ushering him inside.

The clip then cryptically fades to black with the words “Tomorrow, October 10.”

A #WMHD hashtag suggests the clip is likely related to World Mental Health Day which takes place tomorrow.

The Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex narrated a mental health advert watched by millions of television viewers earlier this week.

It is believed to be the first time senior royals have taken part in a television advert, with the clip airing simultaneously on Channel 4, ITV, Sky, Channel 5 and MTV.

Harry, William, Kate and Meghan narrated the short film, which marks the launch of the Every Mind Matters campaign – an initiative from Public Health England (PHE) and the NHS.

The meeting with the multi-platinum music star comes after the Duke of Sussex revealed his own mental health struggles while on tour to South Africa with his wife Meghan and son Archie.

Harry, 35, revealed he sometimes can’t get out of bed in the mornings because he’s so worried about all the problems in the world.

One local said after meeting the royal: “Harry said that he often woke up and felt overwhelmed by too many problems in the world.

“That sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed in the mornings because of all the issues.

“But he wanted to use their platform to enable grass-roots change and to try and create a better society.”

World Mental Health Day is observed every year on October 10 and seeks to raise awareness about mental health issues.

This year, the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) has decided to make “suicide prevention” the main theme.

More than 800,000 people die by suicide a year, making it the main cause of death among young people.
